Zainab Udaipurwala has successfully completed her Masters of Counselling Psychology from Adler University, Vancouver.

Rooted in Adlerian principles, Zainab focuses on the holistic well-being of an individual through a cultural lense exploring issues such as navigating bi-cultural identities, cultural shock, immigrant stress and adjustment.

She collaborates closely with clients to develop personalized therapeutic strategies that align with their strengths and address their challenges, fostering resilience and personal growth. Her global exposure equips her to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds, enabling her to provide inclusive and culturally sensitive care.

Education

Zainab holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology, Vancouver and BSc (Hons) in Psychology with Counseling Skills from Middlesex University Dubai. She has completed a 700-hour clinical practicum specializing in substance use, addiction, and concurrent disorders and is currently awaiting her RCC.

Work Experience

Zainab has actively engaged in various community-based initiatives throughout her education. She has volunteered with NGOs in Vancouver, Dubai and India, supporting youth who have experienced abuse and trauma, and has facilitated psycho-educational workshops tailored to different age groups and genders. Now living in Vancouver, she continues her commitment to community service through a local non-profit organization.

In her current role, Zainab helps individuals navigate substance use challenges and concurrent mental health disorders. She creates a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for clients to explore their experiences, empowering them to achieve personal growth and long-lasting change. Currently, she supports neurodivergent preschoolers, school-aged children, and teenagers in Vancouver. Her work involves fostering inclusivity, teaching emotional regulation, and helping children develop critical skills to thrive in their environments.
